    FAQ

What cognitive functions do mazes train?

Mazes primarily train visual scanning and sustained attention — the ability to trace a path while ignoring dead ends. They also engage planning (choosing a route before moving) and working memory (holding the path in mind). These are widely used in neuropsychological sessions and educational settings.

What age group is this for?

Mazes are suitable for children from age 4–5 (simple shapes with few turns) through adults and elderly populations. Difficulty can be adjusted by maze size, path width, number of dead ends and visual complexity.

    Is this a medical treatment?

No. BrainTrainings Academy provides educational exercise materials for cognitive practice. These are not medical treatments, diagnostics or clinical interventions. Specialists use them as educational tools within their own professional practice.

    How do I adjust difficulty?

In the generator you can control grid size, path complexity, visual noise and cell size. For younger or lower-functioning clients, start with large cells and low noise. For advanced sessions, increase grid size and path length.
